They say our youth are lost. They say there is no hope for them, that they have no respect and no morals.
Well, the village has not given up. There is an awesome event taking place in Washington, DC. This two-day panel is free for young teens and will be hosted by the beautiful-spirited Yvette Elizabeth Tariq and MuTariq, along with some of the city’s most influential women, including USTYLEMAG.COM’s very own Bridgette Wilson-Davis, discussing her journey and development of USTYLE Magazine, along with a host of other respected women that will give and share in their experiences with their entrepreneurial quests.
This event is aimed at igniting that fire within our youth and allowing them to use their creativity and vision in a positive way conducive to them becoming positive role models and mentors to someone else in need. As adults we need to assist in any way possible to make sure that we as a village help them to achieve their dreams; that is what this #PUTYOURSELFON Teen EmpowHERment Series is aimed at accomplishing. Events such as this help to build our young teens’ self-esteem, respect for themselves and others, and to be proud of themselves and become self-sufficient, in hopes that one day they can teach another. All it takes is one to rebuild OUR children’s hopes and dreams and the torch gets passed along.
