Everyone has something they’re afraid of, whether it be something as small as a spider or as big as death itself. What’s tricky is that if you don’t get in front of yours, they will eventually take control of you and lead you into a place where you will begin to feel trapped. Here are four rewards you will receive by owning your fears:

That Momentum Can Be Used to Overcome Your Next Obstacle

In this life there are a few things you can count on, the unexpected happening is one of them, and when the unexpected occurs you’ll be bouncing back from your victory against your fears. Now with that same momentum, you’ll be able to face the unexpected and conqueror that obstacle.

You Will Grow Resilient

You just faced the number one thing you were most fearful of…What can stop you now? The more you begin to challenge your fears, the more resilient you will become. It will take a whole lot more than what’s necessary to take you down because your skin will grow tougher, you’ll become more resourceful and you will be ultimately untouchable simply because you got in front of what your scares you.

You Will No Longer Be Afraid

You won’t have to run anymore. You’ll no longer have to tip-toe around corners, dreading the moment when you’ll be face to face with what you’re fearful of. It will no longer have power over you. Once you face what it is your afraid of, you’ll realize there was nothing to be afraid of after all. In hindsight, your reaction to your fears will be laughable. The way you look at things from here on out will change. You’ll get your bounce back and you’ll begin to see more clearly because the doubts and negativity brought on by fear will no longer cloud your judgment or vision.

Freedom!

It’s just that simple. You will be free. No longer will you be held captive to the things you’re fearful of.

The common association with the word ‘fear’ is the root of the problem. Society holds this ideal that if you are afraid of something, it would be in your best interest to stay as far away from it as possible. In reality, the things you fear most should be challenged and owned.
