Two main popular techniques of maintaining your eyebrows are threading and waxing. Both methods get rid of any unwanted hair and shape the eyebrows beautifully, however the actual process in doing so varies. What is Threading?

Threading has now just become a popular method for eyebrows. Eyebrow threading is an ancient technique that has been practiced for many years with Middle Eastern women. This method involves taking a cotton thread and with a swift like movement pulling all the hairs with the thread. This method is a natural alternative as it uses no chemicals and considered to be a fluid process.
Pros of Eyebrow Threading

It is a natural process unlike waxing which uses harsh chemicals around the eyebrow.
Great for sensitive skin because sometimes with waxing your skin can become irritated.
Threading last longer than waxing. Typically hair does not grow back till 3 or 4 weeks.
This method provides a more precise and defined eyebrow.

Cons of Eyebrow Threading

1. It is a little pricier than waxing. Waxing typically cost $8 but threading normally $12.
2. You are unable to get your eyebrows threaded as soon as it grows back because the technician needs a little more than stubble in order for the thread to
wrap around and pull off the hair.
3. Depending on your pain tolerance, this method can be a little painful as it feels like tweezing several hairs at once.

Pros of Waxing

1. Less painful experience because the hair is pulled out faster than threading.
2. You can wax any part of your body including legs, arms, upper lip, and thread pubic areas.
3. Waxing is less expensive than threading.

Cons of Waxing

1. The skin can become irritated and red due to the chemicals.
2. Due to the pulling and tugging of the skin, people will experience wrinkling of the skin over time.
3. Rashes and bumps can occur even though the wax is said to be hypoallergenic.
